Forming this habit of journaling for the last 10 years, I have come to realize that it becomes so obvious to identify and appreciate the positive experiences we have had and how much we have grown in that time when we revisit on our scribbles or doodles.

I used to be guilty of putting out a list of what I want to achieve at the start of the year and go with horse-like razor focus at it the whole year. And measure myself against it at the end of the year. While it was effective, it did not take into account other priorities in life.

I surely underestimated the power of continuous self-awareness on the less “glamorous” successes or personal growth such as developing, adopting healthier habits, nurturing my mental well-being or investing more time with love ones with simply no agenda.

In reflecting, so much was “achieved” through“wasting time together doing nothing”- in quality time and meaningful connections with loved ones, friends, and colleagues. Just actively listen, showing empathy, and being present, like really present. Many have shared they feel a major difference! Success unlocked!

Embracing gratitude and mindfulness as I reflect on the blessings, achievements, and moments of joy from the past year. Here’s to making this year the best year yet!

May this new year hold unlimited potential for growth, joy, and fulfillment for you!
